So far work done on it.

-Took off Rear Fairings.
-Cut off excess frame and leveled it
-Installed LED Brakelight
-New indicators
-Axle/swing arm vertical license plate
-Bar end mirrors
-New Leather Seat

A bit of odds and ends left, already added the key for the seat to where its going to go, need to just hook up cable and seat link to new seat.
Change rear tire, change exhaust, add bump stops to seat.

When rear fairings broke I decided I wanted to do a cafe build. Worked out quite nicely to me so far. No daytime photos yet, but on it.

Needs the rear pegs on the front & the front as spares/or sell.
Starting to look good though.

Ride it like a 2 stroke:
1: Rev high
2: Add oil
3: Repeat

Those handlebars gotta go!  Cafe racers have clip-ons or clubmans or Ace bars.

Just my opinion....do what suits you!

What reason should I swap rear with front? Why not just remove rear?

You NEED a chain guard!
Naw I like the look without it. I understand the need of one though. Im trying to find a metal version of one to find instead of the default plastic one, but I cant get a hold of the gs500 metal ones anymore in this site. Trying to find a different one elsewhere. Will get one though!

Looking good!  Doing a similar project myself. Removed the speedo/tach and replaced w/a gps. Time will tell if I can see in daylight.
Hacked off passenger area, replaced big muffler w/a smaller one.
Replaced rear shock w/Katana, and air box w/pods.

Next up is a Katana rear wheel (black) and to paint the front wheel, and possibly a chrome gastank.

Looking Good! :thumb:

I'm looking at a similar build, just wondering where you got your seat done? Ebay job or custom?

Seat is from ebay. About $120. Works pretty well with our frame sizes.
