Practicality wise, i should put off motorising the scooter. and get my pc in line. found a new copy of 64bit win7 on ebay. will prolly get that  to set the 1tb drive up. since ankle surgery isnt far off.  also found city tires that fit a 12" wheel. theyd help with movement on carpet. (plus i can use them off road) but ill grab the windows dvd, when my income tax arrives. save the rest for the scooter build. this will be a dress rehearsal for the gs trike build. my wellbeing depends upon doing BOTH the right way.

Tons of amputees ride motorcycles. Some Army vets, some accident survivors, etc, etc...
Not to be goolish but if you eventually get you health back, the loss of a "ped" can certainly be overcome.

A Google search of the subject will return many results.
Such as...
"How to Ride a Motorcycle With Parts Missing (on you, not the bike)"
"Adaptive Modifications for Amputee Motorcycling"
inMotion Magazine article.

Just saying,

Discovered the walkers tires are directional. one was mounted against the direction. so ill rotate them. that aside, i found whitewall tires (12 1/2 inch)  this will be next project.  3 of those along with a 12inch bicycle hub motor.
idk why bit i like whitewalls lol.

the front RH wheel was mounted backwards. others were correct. i removed bolt pulled and flipped it. all is well. ohhhh speaking of customisation, tapping into the custom bicycle market, i found 52 spoke chrome OR gold 12" bicycle wheels on ebay. also found white wall tires on amazon. going to try and get these by jun. when the next TDC   event happens. ill be volunteering as i have been since 1997. except for last year and 2001, been doing it ever since. ill do it this year. probably on amateur radio (2m) provided i have my lic. by then. by jun, should be well into recovery from either fusion or amputation procedure.

hehe these are cheaper on fleabay. id be able to grab 3 of these for the cost of 1 of the others. along with the whitewalls. with the income tax refund. but then again idk, the wheels on it work. ( always liked wires though, lol). but they will be there later on. more practical use for the funds. might just lay out the list of mods first. lol...

Going to at least put road tires on it, its a tad oversized. have seat/leg support down as far as it will go. have to put leg back a tad otherwise rear tire tries to catch foot and pull it fwds. but ive an easy fix for that, pull seat pads off and drill mounting holes an inch further back, and re-mount seat pads. leg will be in same place but wil be fully supported. this i can do as surgery date approaches. not really necessary now. its alot easier to find different 12 inch tires vs 10 inch tires lol.

Update, it appears as though its trying to fuse itself sans hardware. either way it would be deformed. but ill settle for that. after this i have some boots made up to handle this oddly shaped foot. ( 6 weeks or so). baah sucks being impatient. lmao

WAiting on tax refund to arrive, so i can get the parts for the scooter. probably will use the plastic wheels on it for now, but some smooter tread tires for it. working on a slight support mod using parts on hand. refund due any day now :).
also trying to figure out, if i can at some point ride a bicycle again, need to see if a longer pedal is made to  deal with ankle deformity.

since my ankle is fusing albeitj deformed i gave my nearly new mtb to someone who could use it. still have the beach cruiser, and trike frame. ( and a 6hp subaru) trike wouldnt work on the mtb.  anyhoo i decided to tear my pc apart to get it to see the 1tb drive. cant sleep anyways. got one sata plug that MAY work. but its RIGHT behind the vid card. that thing is HUGE. ILL PULL the gpu, and fit the connection. if it works i wont have to repurchase windows. found my jewelry needlenose pliers. it helps lol. anyhoo, may have also found a job/volunteer position. with the ADA ( diabetes assoc.) as a motivational speaker of sorts.

Baaah :"( lol. i tried, i failed. it wont see the 1tb drive. it still sees the 320 though. btw the sata plug it was attached to fell off. going to try sourcing an external hdd case and use the 1tb as external storage. otherwise id have to round up enough to cover win7 ( got that on hand) a mobo which will support ddr2, everything else can be transplanted :). will hold off on it, and concentrate on knee scooter mods. since pc is running still. it was worth a try Eh?.

Buy nothing, (yet)

I have a complete Lenovo PC running a legal copy of Win-7 Pro. It's a refurbished sh!t-box PC that should do fine.
I'll send it to you.
Follow the set-up instructions and hope she boots up without much aggravation.
Once you get it running you can add the 1Tb drive. It should have one open internal SATA port you can use.

Expect delivery by Thursday afternoon.
Keep a fire extinguisher nearby. ;-)

coolness :). if no problems i can return the adaptor. nvm hell it was placed a bit after midnight. i can cancel it. got to make a fender for the scoot. knee rest is at lowest position .but glad i have this one and not the smaller one. finding aftermarket 10 inch bicycle wheels would be impossible. i have to ride a couple inches back or i risk the treat pullning my foot up. BUT got this figured out. i can drill the seat mount further back. but i think the fender will work out.
anyhoo will photo the stripe job once finished.

i striped both rails. opinions? lose the lower one?, tbh i think if i motorise this thing, ill build a pushcart. unless i can cannibalise a currie ezip. friend of mine allowed me use of his fabrication equip. idk where id mount the battery pack , if i gas it,  it will be on a pushcart using one of the ezips rear wheels. that way i can bring it inside. i DID see a 350 watt hub motor in a 12 inch bike wheel. idk. next 24 hours, im motionless. the self fusing ankle feels like it let go. course it JUST started to self fuse. it will be fine. cause ill be damned if they have to fuse it with screws. that xray looks like the poor soul jumped iinto a bucket of screws at ace hardware. i have to modify the aircast due to the swelling. its a hair too small, and other one may be too large. but ive got 36 hours before next doc appt, soooooo. time to break out the mcgyver. ohhhh sorry lol, the first run on striping. still thinking of enamel striping it.

will upload better shot tues from hosp Wifi.

I want to eventially either twotone it, same colorscheme. i PROBABLY couldd find some curb feelers somewhere. thought also of painting it in checkerboard ( blue and silver) may try to find a miniature moto gas tank? why? idk tbh. Or removing striping, and reapplying it in a spiral pattern. using it as a mask and painting inbetween tape.
