I was a bit hesitant to purchase reflective rim tape, but I think it looks good.

Link to the album is above. What do you guys think? I sort of messed up the left side of the rear wheel and didn't have any more to fix it with, so I had to leave it. Its also a different shade of yellow, darker, orangeish. When it reflects, it looks perfect matching though. Also added the CF progrip tank pad today along with an oil change, new oil filter, and new spark plugs. Did the rear katana shock last week too.

Thank you! I actually just contacted the seller I bought the tank pad from because I just realized it is gray and not black like all the photos they show  :dunno_black: The black would look so much better.

ShowBizWolf

The black would look good, you're right.

However... I thought when I looked at your pics, "hey that's cool the pad is gray" ...unique!! And also looks good (IMO) because it picks up the accent designs that are gray (on the tank and on the side plastics).

Thank you! I picked that up as well, staring at the pictures for the minute haha. Well see if the seller decides to send a new one to me. Also, What do you think of taking off the front fender? Aside the water spouting up and dirt and what not. Is it hard to do?

ShowBizWolf

Ugh the front fender... smh yanno... when I bought my GS, the front fender was cracked and broken pretty bad so it was easy to remove. I went without one for a little while... didn't like it because 1) people kept asking me why I didn't have one/if I was gonna put one on 2) because I really like to keep my bike super clean and 3) because it's needed to pass inspection here in PA.

I bought a really cheap used one on ebay and when I went to put it on I was like eh... this is a pain in the a$$... plus I really wasn't happy with the look of the stock one so I decided to cut it way down. Like... waaayyy down. I'm talking like < 14" in length and only as wide as the fork brace.  Just like a woman, I wasn't happy with that either LOL  :icon_rolleyes:

Had that on for a year or two I think ?  Then someone on here was parting out a GS and I noticed from the pics that he had the back half only of a stock fender, with mud guard still attached.  I bought it off him and finally last summer I got around to making another front fender that I like much better. I can find a pic if you want.

What are your thoughts/plans about your fender?

Maybe someone on here has a trick to attaching/removing it to make it easier (other than taking off the front wheel of course)  ;)

I would love to see a picture. I honestly love the street fighter look and I feel the naked front fender can get me closer to that style. I will most likely keep it on though because I like to keep my bike really clean as well.  :thumb:

Many apologies for the delay, I was at work earlier and did not have the pics I thought I did. Here is my first really really small fender (which did pretty much nothing except pass me for inspection):

And here is the fender I made last summer. It only has primer on it because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with the paint (in regards to finishing my gsxr fairing) but I wanted to get the fender on for functionality purposes... and I can honestly say it makes a wonderful difference when riding in the rain and keeping the crud off the engine and the pipes :-D

Here is a fender I made by chopping and reconfiguring the stock GS fender.
