I got this off craigslist for free! It's an 80's something FA50, 2 stroke. It is missing one blinker lens and the air filter. I drained the gas and cleaned the carb and it started on the first kick. I had one as a kid and we'd ride it all over the trails and fields. They are tough little suckers. I have already started to customize it for use as a campground runner. Not bad for free.

Sweet!  Who wants my little yellow bike?  I haven't ridden it for three years.  I treated the gas that is in it.  I have extra cables filters new tires new unfilled battery and such that would go with it.  Come spring I would be willing to sell it for a song. In fact I thought of perhaps holding an essay contest and the most compelling essay gets it for a dollar.  Not sure if I'm willing to go that far, tho, and the winner would have to come to Buffalo.  Convince me!

The mighty FA!! So simple to work on and the parts still pretty easy to find - I had one of these beasts years ago (in the fastest colour of course.. ) - you could also get a front fairing but that just slowed it down..

I would ask how many kms/miles it has done, but know that Suzuki decided an odometer was pointless since they run forever..

you can find some good info here - from memory the most annoying issue was the exhaust could restrict the top end a bit..

:thumb:I cleaned it up and a little JB weld, PVC and beer can air filter on the carb and its running. It has 1300 mi on it. Lots of solid chrome on this hoped. Its a little tank.

You have a yellow one? I had one that color long time ago. You have extra cables? I need a set, what do you have? My rear brake cable is stuck rusted solid. Front barely works.
