that my friend is a NICE bike. decent price too i think. too bad theres this minor pond between us. C'est La Vie. as far as the advisory goes, could the new owner swap in a stock can and pass it/clear it THEN  go back to what you have installed? anyways GL   with sale.
Aaron
p.s. ive always had a soft spot in my heart for bikes with twin dominator lights.

Thanks mate 😊 yeah I suppose they could do that no problem I mean the place I took it for MOT is probably the most strict place to take it in the town to be fare so if they passed it should pass anywhere like. It has been a good bike and reliable as out starts first time everytime, just fancy something new like an sv 650 😊

Ahhh thank you 😊 these good comments of how nice it is is giving me a change of heart haha. But no it's been a cracking bike just time to move to something quicker I think because I don't really know what will make the gs faster hahaha

-2 teeth on front sprocket will make it accelerate faster. downside is +500 rpm at top speed. in the hands of a skilled rider it can outcorner a litrebike. ( cause youd go into a corner hot. (not cutting much power.) but in straights, the larger displacement bikes would own you. ive rode both my Gs as well as my HD 883c with a 1200 conversion. on Us129 ( the tail of the dragon) had more fun on the gs. i had the gsxr wedge can, -2 front sprocket and the k&n lunchbox filter. i shifted constantly but rode in a spirited but safe manner ( got a pic of this on photobucket) the HD was 3rd gear all the way through. which the SV would be like. which in itself the SV650 will a good step up for you i think. BUT you must remain here. many of us (myself included) dont own Gs' anymore. but enjoy the comaraderie here. we are a large semi dysfunctional family lol. and we can offer ideas for the SV as well as many other bikes.

Thank you for this reply 👍 and making me feel at home I appreciate that 😊. As for the sprocket gearing.... In my opinion my bike goes like a bag out of hell away from a corner it accelerates extremely hard and on standard gearing but k was just looking for a little bit more top end so what would you recommend for that?? Is does 115mph flat out at the moment but sits better at 95 would like it easily to get to a 100 no problem and then maybe 110 quicker than it does now....if this is even possible.

Cheers Aaron for your help

I've always had more fun trying to go fast on a slow bike than slowing down on a fast bike.

Could go +1 or even +2 will gain top end at the expense of acceleration. as much as i love the Gs' ( had 5, one of them twice) the sv offers more. i had the needle pegged on my 1st gs that one its only mods were a punched exhaust, the k&n lunchbox, and a -1 front sprocket. she was wailing lol. but happy. and it was incredibly stupid of me. was it fun? sure, would i do it again? no. even at %10 off on speedo, i was close to 100. on a naked bike. only thing that kept me out of jail that night was that it was a DARK navy blue bike at 2am. that was frankenbike lol. ( and the source of my username) anyhoo back on track, if you want faster than 115, id go with the sv to be honest. probably would be safer all things considered. tbh i like twins, whether v or parallel. an sv or even a TL. youd spend a small fortune to gain a little bit on the gs.. would be nice if you could figure a way to have both. heck im torn, but honestly a stock sv with a mild buildup youd be enjoying life. youd have a fast bike, if you chose to do so. yet it wouldnt be dangerous as say an I4 litrebike. the sv would have the power to get you into trouble, but youd have to  be looking for it a bit. ( it is forgiving like the gs is) id go sv if it were me.)

Excellent nick for a k reg mate, for £700 you should have no problems shifting it, good luck!

Plus with the add-ons and mods, 700 is a bargain. even converting to us$ , still consider it a bargain, and with riding seaason opening/under way. id almost say its too cheap. someone will get it quick. its a good looking ride, plus ive a soft spot for twin dominators.

:thumb:  This bike is sick man. From the Rotors to the healights. You took care of this thing as if it were your child. I have my very first GS. (I have had other bikes before but not like this one) I got my GS from a friend who let it sit with the motor completely open. After a year of motor rebuild, I am now at the point of looking at other parts of it. With the headlights, Are they brighter then the single round or isnt there much of a change? Very nice and good luck selling.

Thanks mate, getting a lot of nice feedback about it which is really nice, yeah I've put a lot of time and effort into her had it 3 years and it was really paining me to sell it so my dad now has it least that way I no it's getting looked after plus I can use it for a blast out now and then if I want, win win 😊.

As for the lights they weren't brighter to start with at all if anything they were slightly dimmer but with a some xenon effect bulbs in they were grand so I would recommend these lights all day, however.......if your gonna buy them I would recommend getting either the chrome ones or getting the black ones and having the lacquered because mine are black and the coating on them didn't really fare well to the bad weather and I had to repaint them, hope this helps and good luck with your build mate

Hi guys.....

Not posted on here for a loooooong time, but I'm hoping someone out there can maybe help.

I did when listing my gs for sale manage to sell it, but since that day I have regretted it. I purchased an sv650 and it was great but it wasn't my GS so I'm hoping that I can try and track it down somehow.

I have checked it on the motor data base and it hasn't been MOTd or taxed since I sold it back In 2016.

Im just hoping it hasn't had the worst and been scrapped, because the guy I sold it too didn't look after it.

Thanks guys
