Hey guys,

So i'm rebuilding my bike after my wreck and 2 of the pieces just came in today

These mirrors

http://www.amazon.com/Neverlandback%C2%AE-Stealth-Style-Motorcycle-Mirrors/dp/B00CHCPT32?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00

and these handlebar clamps

http://www.amazon.com/Motorcycle-Adaptor-Varadero-Transalp-Sportbike/dp/B006LF67KA?ie=UTF8&psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00

It didn't dawn on me at the time but these clamps don't fit the handlebar the fit around it but they won't close entirely to put the screw in. Plus they have to be at a certain angle to fit the handlebars and that's not happening. The right clamp won't fit because of the brake fluid and right controls.

This is what i'm trying to make my bike look like : http://www.muamat.com/adpics/508f6f77826263e846bdc22c1.jpg

I just need to find the right clamp.

Stock mount? All of the fairings are coming off. Including the stock mirrors (Or atleast the one that's left). At this point I have to buy different adapters. I decided to screw a mirror into one of them and see what it looks like, it wasn't even close to tight before the adapter broke like chalk. That's what I get for buying cheap Chinese shaZam!.

Can you (or anyone else) recommend handle bar adapters?
If this doesn't pan out I may have to get bar end mirrors.

.... I have a 2007 GS500F. I'm walking outside to check now. If I find them, i'm gonna feel like the biggest idiot.

EDIT:

Oh my god... I've always looked at those plastic things and wondered what they were but never messed with them. I owe you a beer.

I guess while I have an open thread, i'm removing the cowl and the headlight and remounting the headlight with a bracket coming in a day or two. Do you know the size of the  bolts on the bracket so I can throw a socket wrench on there tomorrow and take them off?

Which bracket you talking about

It's raining outside so I won't be able to get out there to take any; but the bracket that hold the cowl on and attaches to the forks (it looks like).

If it is a hex head bolt it will probably be a 10mm, but bring a variety of metric socket sizes, a JIS screwdriver, and metric hex keys over to your bike and you should be ready for whatever fasteners are on there
