Unfortunately maybe not. i went to change the dressing which covered the splint. i wanted to maybe grab some pics for the thread of doom here, BUT pics were bad enough where an nsfw warning werent strong enough. sure post op there will be some bleeding, but a few of the stains were fresh. also found a 1.5x3" blister which popped. fluid went everywhere. i called orthos office, nurse got me in tomorrow at 8am, my followup for fri is still on but may not need it. nurse was concerned. BUT ill be next door to hosp. so if he throws me back in i dont have far to go. damn i hope not. foot was swollen as well. course it had surgery on it and such  so that i doubt will be an issue. but who knows.  frig im scared. was wanting to heal so i can work on getting back into the workforce . that blister was HUGE. this is how the Mrsa issue in front of that blister began we believe. also pm doc wouldnt allow that pain med prescription to be filled. BUT allowed me to make an appt with her. i go in there on the 11th. meh just a week. but post op pain blows. but sooner i can get this fixed sooner i can return to work. sooner i can pay my bills. meh enuf of that, ill be stuck in oak ridge all day lol :"(. but cqan pick up records. (copies of xrays. i want to see how much metal ive got in there lol. more updates to come. my friends

could be just a frac. blister. the blood stains were almost black ( right over the incision site.)  some of them were nearly fresh as well. when he cleans them off tomorrow may grab pics of them. also been running a low grade fever (99.1f) normally mine are 97.5f or 96.7f anyhoo wish me luck Eh?

here in 2 hours i find out whether i come home today OR i kneescoot across st to hosp. what concerns me is idk if myy body can handle another surgery  so soon. but thats what they pay the docs the big bucks for. to keep patients alive lol. (unless doc would be Jack kevorkian lol.

Well it went off better than i thought it would. a fresh bleeder but its to be expected, the blister , again to be expected ( basically fracture blister) most of leg below knee has them, i figured out why it hurt like hell to rest heel on ground. theres a screw there. a hole ( stitched closed of course) through which the foot long IM nail and required drill bit, was inserted. 2 incisions on medial (inside) the longer one used to saw bones flat, shorter one to insert screws  to secure IM nail through the tibia ( which is INSIDE the tib)on the lateral (outside) one incision through which the Ti plate and screws. btw no xray copies at hosp. ill see if theyll let me "see" the pic of it. but will find an example pic of this. he (surgeon) was like your ankle was a f...... mess  he edited himself. THEN i go pick up the walker boot, and bill collector calls raising hell. i had to hobble outside cause i got LOUD. i said ive got at least 8 or 9 screws and 1 rod in my ankle would you like pics? what charge acct off? go for it. you cant squeeze blood out of a turnip, my ankle sure, and i cursed for the first time in a LONG time, i put on my happy face voice, said "F**k you very much" she was "your welc......" heyyyyy  frig im TRYING TO FIND WORK but literally theres nothing i can do for prolly at least a year. ( possibly indefinately longer) if this fusion fails, legs gone. but accd to surgeon, everything is great.

The following i insist has absolutely NO sexual meaning  in summary : i was nailed, screwed  and quite stiff.
but xrays appear normal as does the repair work. however i must have pinched a nerve or popped something loose on foot/metatarsals. got pain going through the roof. i wont even eat tonight. tbh. this level of pain im not thinking like i should be. never hurt this bad EVER. SCREAMING IN PAIN.  Er wont do anygood. convincing docs that this is FAR from typical. cant handle this musch longer tbh.

Still got 4 ace bandages  wrapped up on this so i can ambulate/walk  per doc orders. the im nail was 12mmX150mm got a pinched nerve or something in there. (between ortho and myself we'll figure it out. anything less than the 4 bandages, walking wont happen. going to try repurposing a pad from wheelchair so walking wont hurt as much. will see.

Basically a fluid buildup looking for a way out. i stood to use the and sanitiser and it let go. looked down like Welllllllllnow that wasnt sposed to happen. so i raided her supply stash 4 layers of gauze pads. and i wrapped it. so far so good. i see ortho tmrw am  anyways. will deal with it then. dont see too huge of an issue. floor was a mess tho lmao. did my best to clean it. everything will be fine. it happens sometimes. blood and clear liquid. not even gross ( but not really postable tbh. i consider it mildly nsfw.) the nail shot tho will post that tomorrow via wifi. kinda cool looking in a weird way. you MILDLY press around it you will know its metal. besides i think its one of the anchor pins for the IM nail. cause accd to reports that is where it would be. will update today and tomorrow.

Been gone for a few days, just got back to Ohio from Arizona, so I decided to do this >    Keeping threads going 

I ( and janx ) elected you to the position of 71 hour guardsman. we do appreciate the bumps my friend .
anyways i return to doc tuesday, to plan what hopefully will be my final surgery. both doc and i was concerned about one of the anchor screws holding the IM nail in place. one of the screws is too long. its pushing against the outer skin layer. it will push through to outside with little effort. the xrays tues. will decide whether i keep the leg or not. also a shorter screw will have to replace this one. hes concerned the bone isnt fusing yet. but im praying it will. either way i will have to be opened up to remove and replace the screw. im keeping that screw and making a ring out of it. its titanium. will make something out of it. will upload a pic of the screw pushing against the skin. its safew for work. but ill be in my office at church. will use their WIFI to do it. love yall, take care and may GOD bless yall. more updates to come.

Going to look for work. may try to land a position at orthos place  handling computer duties. ( data backup  repairs etc. im broke as hell. maybe even coding and such if i pass the test. would be ideal tbh. heck hes needing the comps replaced. data backed up beforehand. this i can handle. bored sh*tless sitting here. also lined up setting up a point of sale system install at pizza place. i wont be lifting anything. just directing where things go and then i network it all. hoping i can land something . need to. BUT i wont risk the left leg. if it fails i lose it. so i MUST be careful. anyhoo love yall and take care Eh?

following orthos orders. i CAN walk short distances i.e. bathroom or kitchen etc. but i have to walk using a walker AND using only the front of my left foot. ( from ankle forwards) this is unnatural for me but thats only option. heck that hurts lol. pain meds dont help after that. but i spend most of freetime sleeping. ( 16hrs a day) swelling is gone, the leaks have mostlyy stopped. but the elimination of swelling exposed the anchor screw problem. that and incision sprung aa leak at his office. i tried to clean it up. ( anyone whos had surgery will have this issue at some point usually.) i need to find a stash of butterfly bandages before tuesday. pending xray results, the stitches come out. for peace of mind  i want to use those for another week JUST to be sure it holds, then after this revision surgery to remove the IM nail anchor screw which is trying to   poke thru skin, 1 im asking for it to make something out of it, but i want him to put a shorter screw in. the nail is a stryker G3 half inch wide by 6in long. or 12mm x 150mm. anchored by 2 screws. oh lol i will get a copy of the xray showing this. ( kinda cool tbh) if this holds i GUARANTEE,  this ankle will never break again lol anyhoo pics coming tomorrow. an example of the triple arthrodesis and the alien screw trying to escape. next on my list of bs things to do is go to courthouse to aggrivate metal detector ppl. lol.

Da*n. the fusion has failed. i want to cry. was examining  the ankle and the screw. i flexed my foot ......the whole thing moved. including the poking screw. :"( this isnt good. i had plans for this week. including singing at church talent show on the 21st. which if worse comes to worse, i can video that, and have it played. but the fusion seems to have failed. the only part that should be moving is the front half of my foot. as it was this AM err as of sat AM. now its moving as it was pre surgery.. dang i want to give up :"(
anyhoo will post pics while at church today. but tbh may not go.  will see. may call his answering svc. but idk i have an appt tues with him. that fusion is what is mostly called a "last ditch effort" they cant re-fuse it without surgery again. anyhoo will call the answering svc later on. and see what they say.
