Found this stuff called MonoKote at the hobby shop across the street. It's made for R/C planes but I've been wanting to customize my gear a bit and gave it an experimental run. Anyway, I'm very happy with how it came out.

Guy at the shop said a little clear nail polish around the edges could help seal it from the elements, but I'm going to test it for a bit as is to see how it stands up.

Just printed a template and hand-cut, nothing fancy and hardly perfect... but it comes in big sheets and could see it being great for fairing work as well.

Hmm... I think in the Picture Game thread... there's a pic of my GS in the garage with my gear in the background... but that was a while ago...

...and in The Fink's build thread he asked to see one of my helmets once and I posted a few shots but I couldn't tell ya how long ago that was as well.

I did a Spiderman one with perforated vinyl on the visor, a Corey Taylor one where I also did the visor with the vinyl and also added dreadlocks to it... and then the other one was for my ex... it was black and white zebra stripe with a black mohawk on the top. That one I still have but I'm getting ready to re-do it. Was thinking about keeping the mohawk idea but making the design on the helmet match my GS... and I really didn't want to hand-paint or mask off and spray the letters/numbers.

That's pretty cool stuff, nice idea. ShowBiz, you need to make a helmet thread, you do cool stuff, I still get scared of that slipknot helmet

Yeah the Slipknot helmet... I had it in mind to be creepy... kinda frightening like, "What YOU lookin' at, cager? Get your eyes on the road" lmao

They sound awesome, I'll have to dig around but I agree with Fink would be cool to see a helmet thread!

I finally got my new laptop in the mail this week and I might start a helmet thread then 

I've searched here in the past and there is an old thread called "Let's see your helmets" or something like that but maybe I'll just start a new one.

I'd do it tonight while I'm at work but I don't have my pictures... nor does photobucket load up right on the computers here
