My friend messaged me on fb earlier and showed me this... I'd never heard of it before!! Her and her man rode it and she was like omg it was scary as sh*t!

She told me it was on the show Hell's Roads which I will have to look up on google... but woah looks like a hell of a ride!

Parts of bikes that didn't complete the whole road... "The Tree of Shame"
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

JP and I rode to Knoxville for the Honda Hoot back in 01 and returned over the Dragon aka Deals Gap and back up the Blueridge Parkway on way home.  Great roads and fun riding, we returned to ride the area again in 02, 03, and 04 with a group from another forum.

407,400 miles in 30 years for 13,580 miles/year average.  Started riding 7/21/84 and hung up helmet 8/31/14.

My brother in law goes down with his dad every year. I've never been, but I've heard it can be a real cluster f**k sometimes! To prove that point, here's a 2000+ page thread on ADVRider with stuff that can go wrong:

It's opener there in the wide open air...

My brother is headed down there in a couple of weeks with his Miata. I'm sure that once he returns, he'll be wanting to take a bike trip in the near future.

This ride looks amazing, but I've also heard it can get swamped with traffic and cops. I've considered making a trip; hopefully someday will hit it!

Woah. If the remaining 2,326 pages of that thread are anything like the first two...

Meh.... they're not all bad. But when you get over 200k people with 200k different opinions, sometimes there is clashing. My advice for that thread? Just scroll thru and look at the pictures. There is some CRAZY stuff that rolls thru the Dragon on a weekly basis.
