Went and did it, traded in my gs500f for a 2012 Aprilia Tuono V4r APRC.  My GS will be missed but not forgotten.  Thanks for all the support and great 'discussions' here. 

Did just over 200 miles this weekend on the Tuono, you would not believe the power difference, and the sound the V4 makes, oooh, gets my tid bits all excited.  However, I will miss the GS seat. Much more forgiving!
