Need to change the oil tomorrow but it is running again!  What should the idle be with the choke on?  Seems high like 4 to 5000 rpms.  With the choke off it drops down a lot.

I had some issues with the new fuel lines but I think I got it dealt with by pushing them between the new air filter and the frame, I had then pinching up near the tank.  Seem better now from what I can see.  But how do I make sure I have the reserve and on lines correct and not reversed thatshe my concern now.  I let it idle for a few minutes after getting it back together.  I wiggled the tank and it finally seems to move into place and I got it bolted down.  The drain line was hooked up but I can't see it with the fuel lines to really make sure it's not pinched off.

With the choke on full, 4 to 5k is correct as far as I know... that's what mine does and then I back it off to about half for a few minutes :star:
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

Mine runs between 4-5k with choke on, I usually let that run for a minute or so then I slowly start to back the choke off.

As for the fuel lines, I posted a couple pictures in your other thread that should have shown the fuel line routing info.

Glad to hear you got it running again!!

Okay good to know, it just sounded like it was revving like crazy.

ya, I think that's pretty normal. I just assume it's helpful in getting it warmed up quicker. So I let it rev up for a little bit, no higher than 5k, then back it off and as soon as I'm down the block I can pretty much turn the choke off for good.
