Theres a bearing/rattley sound coming from my gs500. It happens when im off the throttle slowing down with the clutch engaged so rules out the chain. If i pull the clutch in it goes away. Also the engine doesnt need to be running either. Oil is on the level. So im stumped. Anyone any ideas? Could it even be as simple as needing a clutch?

Check for badly worn front sprocket.

Check the thrust bearing underneath the cover plate, the one the pushrod acts against and that the clutch basket is tight on its splines.

Already put a new chain and sprockets on, Jack. Was hoping that would help but didnt.
Sledge, Will try have a look at the thrust bearing. Maybe needs a new clutch anyways cause shes got about 40k on her atm.
