It's with a heavy heart that I said goodbye to my 2005 GS500F this week. We've had a lot of great times. She was my first street bike and a ton of fun to ride even after 15k or so miles.

I had to make room for my new fun/track bike, and it was a tough call. My wife wasn't comfortable on the GS and will only ride the FJ1200. The DR is in-progress and a straight up enduro.

Luckily it has found a good home, a relatively new rider looking to move up from a Rebel 250.

I still feel like her spirit lives a bit in the new ride. Same exact year and mileage as my GS! Welcomed this beast home on Tuesday, 2005 GSX-R 750 20th Anniversary:

Words can't really begin to describe this bike.. I'm in love! When I pulled up next to it on the GS they looked like twinsies haha

I'll be by the forums from time to time, and still checking Craigslist now and then for GS500's. Someday when I have more space I definitely want to pick up a new one for a spare/fun street bike. :)
