Customer service testimonial for Sonic Springs

Some time, almost a year ago, I bought .95Kg springs for my Honda Shadow from Sonic Springs. Before I put the springs in, I sold the bike, and picked up the Magna as I wanted something a little quicker, a little nimbler, yet still comfy for my knees. This Suzuki GS500 fell in my lap for only a few hundred dollars, and the Magna went on to a new home.

On a lark, and with zero expectations, I sent a message off to Rich at Sonic Springs explaining that I had these springs, unused (oddly enough, they fit both the Shadow and the Magna), and wondered if I could send them back for a partial refund, or pay the restocking fee, etc., and then buy the springs I need for the GS500.

Rich countered with an offer to simply replace the springs, no restocking fee, even up if I sent the Shadow springs back with a printout of our email conversation.

So, I did just that; I happily paid the shipping back to Sonic for the Shadow springs, and in a few days a new box arrived with the GS500 springs, no hassle, no fuss. I was happy to offer Rich extra payment for shipping, restock fee, etc., as this whole mixup was 100% of my own doing, but Rich saw fit to provide what I consider to be above-and-beyond, exemplary customer service.

Thank you, Rich, and thank you Sonic Springs, et al, for providing a great product at a fair price, and for proving that customer service is something about which some vendors still do actually care.

Just one reason I display the Sonic stickers conspicuously on my bike. .. and when it is on the road (eventually again!) I'm happy to tell folks about the company! :thumb:

Sassy

+1
Rich is amazing! He definitely works hard to please his customers, and the level of personalized support he gives is extremely rare in this day. I've had a few different bikes and always go with Sonic Springs, even if I had to wait a little (like on my GS500).
