This was actually pretty hard to do, camera vs low light.  I tried to get one while out but it turns out the garage light provided the best conditions...

How about your bike by something bronze.  Like a bust or a statue or plaque or something.

Took the GS out for about a half hour to some local roads on my lunch break (the benefit of working from home on occasion). This is right down the road from my house, in the town where I've lived most of my life.

There's something like 1,500 of these plaques throughout the state of Ohio. Here's a close up for anyone who might be interested.

Next challenge: your bike in front of an old church building. I always seem to encounter cool old churches on my rides. Awesome architecture, stained glass, a big steeple...

It's funny, that plaque has been there for 13 years, and I'm pretty sure that's the first time I've read it. I didn't read it until after I posted the picture, so I didn't realize that it's continued from the other side. I'll stop and grab a photo of the other side on my way home for anyone who's interested in reading it.  :icon_lol:

I've been meaning to get in on this for a while, but I always forget while I'm out riding. So I've had a while to come up with the church idea lol.

There might be many, many more players if the subject matter didn't have to be in North America...

Several recent quests have been more universal, but seriously, think about WORLDWIDE subjects if you want more participants, after all the bike was made in Japan, Spain, Brazil and is VERY popular in Germany...

Far too often posts on the whole forum are ONLY relevant to Merkins...

Please recognise that other Countries exist...

Many readers would thank you for being more considerate and thinking about other Countries than your own...

Too bad the challenge wasn't for "your GS500 in a million pieces in a repair shop," because I could have had that one today!

Hope to participate once my bike is running ... in a week or so.

I've seen pictures that my brother took of churches while he was in Germany, and their magnificence far surpasses anything we have here in the American Midwest. I think it would be cool to see more worldwide participation.

Did I miss something?  This game is a USA only event?  Since when?

I didn't realize lots of these things were only in the USA...  :icon_eek:

...surely there is moonlight, ice cream shops, churches, ivy/plant covered walls, tunnels, bosses at your job, rivers/streams, rusty vehicles, swimming pools (I'll stop there but they are all previous and recent challenges) in other countries  :dunno_black:

I'd never ever want to be insensitive to other countries and people in them. If there is anyone out there reading this that feels that way, please know I apologize... I do not believe that the intent of this thread was ever to make anyone feel excluded.
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

North America is a big place.  I can't think of general things that are here and not elsewhere.  South America, Europe, Asia.  It's all geologically and infrastructurally similar.  Maybe there's differences in wildlife and culture but how often is something that specific challenged?
Your bike in front of a cactus?  Your bike next to an authentic Mexican taco truck?  I get that those would be easy for me but impossible for someone in Germany...  I don't see stuff like that being challenged, though.

Haha, those things would be impossible for someone in Ohio...

MY CHALLENGE IS YOUR BIKE NEXT TO AN AMERICAN FLAG WITH A GIANT HAMBURGER AND A LIVE BALD EAGLE WEARING A COWBOY HAT.

HotPocket

So I'm guessing no one has done the old church challenge.   I'm on my way to do it now. Hopefully I can beat sunset.

HotPocket

Alright so its not a super old church but it is the oldest church in my town sitting at around 100 or so years. Maybe older.

If I need something older let me know.

Looks good! Next challenge?

How about a picture of your bike in front of a playground.  It can be a swing set, slide, something like that.

Good one...I pass two or three between my house and work, but there's a cold front moving in tonight, so I might not be riding to work tomorrow.

Cold and rainy today

Deer hunting Saturday morning, but I'm going to try to get out for a ride sometime this weekend. I realized I've only put 900 miles on my GS since I bought it in February, so I'm trying to squeeze in as much riding as possible before winter hits.

By this time last year my GS500, which I purchased in April, had about 18k added to it...  Live to ride, ride to live!  :2guns:

I'm stuck inside babysitting during the day.  Parents come home near sunset so it's difficult for me to get out of the house while there's still light.  There's a park down the road but it's kind of an uppity neighborhood so I think if I park my bike right by the slide Mrs. Neighborhood Watch is gonna cause issues.

Oh wow.  I got my gs less than a month ago and I already have 1100 miles on it lol.  To be fair though I do ride full time and I go on adventures a lot.  These mountain roads are amazing.

Fun fact. You can in fact scrape the footpegs on the gs500 with no problems.
