now I thought this was the GS500 picture game ... not the "whatever bike you are riding" picture game  :D

With how many of us "graduate" to larger machines but stay here I don't see why it should be so particular.

95% sure he was just joking lol.

Anyway, shame my city hasn't put up winter decorations yet, or I would have knocked the current challenge out over lunch. Maybe I'll see some yard decorations on the way home and can pull over and be an enormous creeper by taking a picture of my bike in a random stranger's yard.

I was just teasin' bro. If I had another bike I'd post pictures of it in the game too.

Yeah, I'm sure he was joking too.  Never hurts to clarify.  The thread title IS the GS500 Picture Game...

I would HOPE people haven't gone Christmas crazy yet, the later in the year people put up decorations and the sooner they take them down the better.

Well, maybe if the next challenge is: your bike, in pieces, in your garage ... ?

Back in the 70's tomorrow...hoping to ride to work. Gotta love the Ohio weather. They guy down the street has Christmas lights up already, so if they're on in the morning, maybe I can stop.

I didn't have the energy to get the bike out this morning, but I'm going home on my lunch break to get it. I passed a house with some pretty cool decorations out this morning, so I'll stop there on my way back to work.

My neighbor hasn't taken his down since last year!

rscottlow

And here it is!

Next: your bike in front of your place of employment. With the weather getting colder, hopefully this is an easy one.

My place of business is inaccessible unless I'm teaching, so no go for me at this time.
Unless a picture in front of the gate counts.

Either way I can't today. My back is hurting and I'm staying in today.

Waiting on you, ShowBiz!

Got it  :D  Been working in the lab for almost 5 years already and I really do enjoy it. Sooooo much better than my past years in retail jobs... ugh lol

The next challenge is your bike next to/near something(s) new you have for it that you haven't gotten a chance to install/swap/modify to fit etc. This challenge is inspired by the 'Busa fender I have sitting at home waiting to be modified to fit my GS. Can be a new battery, different seat, new tires... you get the idea.

Nice challenge, and it's garageable for people who live in cold climates.

Too bad for me I've already swapped everything aftermarket that I care for, and all my replacements for repair and maintenance are finished...
So unless I break something in the next few days I'll be sitting this one out.

Ahhh poops  :icon_sad:

Well you make a good point!! It is a challenge for people who already have winter weather AND it's also another challenge that can be done internationally  :thumb:

I rode yesterday in 70+ temps. This morning sitting in my deer stand, I got snowed on...

I have an oil filter in my garage, so I can probably get this one if nobody else does (I'm talking to you guys whose bikes have been stuck in the garage for a while...)

I have my GS next to ALL the parts short of a belly pan in the garage now.

I'll get on this tonight after work!  :2guns:

BOOM

Only took me 4-8 times to upload the thing!

Boxes of parts waiting to be installed:
New Petcock
Bar Raisers
Springs
Foot pegs
And MORE!

Let's see if anyone can get a photo with a live turkey!  :woohoo:
Bonus points: Turkey on the bike!

rscottlow

Put the liner in my jacket and set off in search for turkeys...they must've all been in hiding this morning, so this was the best I could do. Wild Turkey and a ceramic turkey table topper. No points, but some comic relief nonetheless.

He said "live" turkey, not "wild", but that would have been my submission had it been, lol.

I like it!
