I just had a little run with a new Evo 8 Lancer. I stayed right with him pretty easily and could've pulled pretty good if I wasn't shifting so early. I just wanted to play a bit. Anyone else have a run in with an Evo 8? Thoughts? How should we compare?

stock for stock i'd guess it'd be kinda close. but the evo should win (shouldn't it? doesn't it run low - mid 13's?)

Not a motorcycle story but one of those stopped at a light next to my friends M3 while I was in it You can guess how it ended

Hmm...yeah it was definitely a nice car. By the way I probably should have given more details. My bike is a 2004 GS500F with Cobra F1R exhaust(no performance difference I'm sure). We pulled on to the highway and ended up gettin on it at around 15 MPH. I ran all the way up to 80 or so, short shifting every time. If I didn't shift it early I would've started pulling him in and ended up in his trunk  

It was good fun...I pulled up and gave a thumbs up and he gave a wave

and raced a str4     beat him

porche boxer (s)eries          he killed me

and many honda civics

its not interesting to play with cars....

last year i had fun with cops WRX......

Since they're AWD cars, they're terrific from a stop, but terrible from a roll (like a 15 mph punch).  From a stop they're 13 second cars easily, but from a roll they're probably comparable to 14 second RWD cars, like Ford Lightnings, older 240 hp M Coupes...

Drove a Friend's STi, those things haul. I've never driven an AWD Sports car, it's like a whole nother ball game. The Pull from stop is unbelievable. I believe an STi Would run laps around my GS if given the change.....TO be Continued...

you might win a 1/4 mile race vs a car that runs 13's but after the 1/4 mile you'll be looking at his tail lights

i dont like racing cars cause bikes are expected to win....if you get beat every one is like rrrrrrrright nice uh bike

my gs500 was my starter bike... it was damages so i bought a hyabusa (which was wrecked going slow when i hit gravel on corner :-(  ) so now i am fixing up my gs500.

BUT when i had my busa i dusted a porche, subaru wrx sti, neon..... oh and there was that one time i passed a cop while i was going 150..... he switched on his lights then quickly turned them off as i looked in the rear view mirror and he was on the horizon behind me....

yep im back, but anyway, yeah the evo 8's and the sti's are quicker 0-60 than a Ferrari 456!!! i mean really, wouldnt you fell kinda $hitty if a mitsubishi came up a put a hurting on your $150,000.00 car. I know i would.

You know whats really fun?? Let a ricer roll up beside you when the guy has some hot chick in the car and rev up a little, maybe 5000rpm. Then he will rev to about 5000pm. Then do it right when he does and show him your louder, but this time rev all the way to the red. Watch the girls mouth drop, and then speed away like nothing ever happened. I did that one time. It was so much to.
