Hey guys, not sure if this counts as a large field of wildflowers... Thought i'd post it anyway and see what you guys think. This was the first time I've gotten to really ride since the winter, all other times I've been trying to diagnose fueling problems which I finally figured out (thanks to you guys!!) so I'm ecstatic and wanted to share it :)

It's up to mr72 if he'll take it.

Are those cherry blossoms?

I like it . Been looking locally but big patches of wildflowers are hard to find in the desert.  My exploring has only revealed the occasional blooming cactus.

It's a cool picture no doubt ... but not exactly what I was asking for. But hey, it's been what? A week? if we can move the game along, let's do it.

Lluraeden

I was looking for more of a field, but this was the highest quantity of blooms I could find. Not sure what kind of trees they are, but they are more purple in person...

Anyway if that works then next category is Take a picture of your bike overlooking a city skyline Bonus points if you can see a sunrise or sunset as well.

If there was ever a reason for me to have remained in Chicago, this is it.

But downtown Tucson and it's 3 buildings should work.

Oh I've got a good one for this as soon as I leave school.

It's not a city skyline, but it's A skyline.  I didn't move to Tucson for the buildings.

What does Lluraeden think?

I vote yes, unless someone can get a city skyline before Lluraden replies. Most of the time when I go downtown it's to go watch the Reds with my friends or family, so I'm not riding the bike. Downtown Cincinnati has a great skyline, but I stay away from the city unless I have a good reason for being there.

where's "your GS left its own mark" challenge?!

NEVER had this happen to me, and they finished re-doing this road/parking spots like ALMOST 2 months ago. I felt bad, but nothing I could do..

Watcher, since we don't have a response, you want to go ahead and throw out a new challenge so we can keep this going?

Ok.

Your bike at a favorite restaurant, but parked with at least one other bike.

I rode to Skyline Chili last week in hopes to find another bike in the parking lot, but I wound up parking next to a pretty nice Porsche instead...

Surely you all have friends who also ride.

Me and my buddy Matt would ride to the local Denny's almost religiously.  Would have been better if it was a waffle-house...

I have two friends that ride... but not very often at all. One works opposite shift than me and the other one I don't see him very much at all (and he also works daylight, but not at my job).

And even though the weather has been slowly getting nice here, I haven't seen that many bikes out yet :icon_sad:

Ok so after I left work, I went for a short ride. The picture game popped into my mind and I thought maybe there'd be at least one bike at Quaker Steak. It IS one of my favorite places to eat even though I haven't been there for over a year  I'm longing for some triple atomic wings!!! Anyway, I got this picture and I know it sucks but there is another bike in it. I was too nervous to park closer to it cuz I get really nervous around people sometimes.

My brother rides, but we usually only go out to lunch together on Saturday when I have the whole family with me. I also have a couple of old friends from high school who ride, but we don't see each other often.

I love that place, but...Triple Atomic?!?! I only made that mistake once. My wife and I went to Quaker Steak with our late friend Aaron and we ordered all-you-can-eat wings. We had our fill (along with a lube tube), and decided that we were "man enough" for a little more heat. We were wrong! Before the heat had a chance to set in, I scarfed down an entire drum and immediately started pouring sweat. Aaron took a little nibble off of his, and was in a similar condition. The bartender proceeded to bring us glasses of milk and fruit punch, insisting that alternating between the two would help. She was wrong too. Never again, but more power to anyone that can tolerate that type of heat.

So...what's the next challenge? Please don't say the Triple Atomic Wing Challenge  :D
