Mickey mouse... haha. Awesome. Thanks dude. I'm definitely gonna go for some bar end mirrors... I hate the way the original mirrors look.

Do u have the original banana seat on your bike? Idk if you can tell in the pics, I had the seat redone with higher cushion and defined shaping in the passenger side along with the white vinyl. It really helped the tail look better.

Yeah i thought you had raised the rear of the seat. Yes i have the original seat but i also raised up the back about 3 inchs so it looks like a racing/cafe tail. I raised the front about an inch also. I have no rear mud guard at all, i made a glass tail section like the racers of old, and all the electronics are hidden under the seat including a lithium battery. The "triangle" is totally clean, it looks mad.Damn computer of mine wont let me do anything these days. I cant even watch you tube vids. If it did i would post up some pics and blow some minds.
No matter what i do to it, it's still a GS
It's not how fast your bike is, it's how long you are prepared to hold the throttle on.

JT-2012

Sweet. Sounds cool. I've seen others do gsxr or r6 tail swaps. Some look good.  I didn't want to go that route.  I think the original seat just needs some definition

I totally agree with you about the seat profile. I think the tail swaps make the arse end look too wide in comparison to the GS tank.
The ugliest part of the GS is the long tail, it hangs out too far. You dont have that problem  :thumb:

JT-2012

Yup. The rear wheel extension also helped with evening out the long tail.

My pics are crusty but hopefully soon I'll have something to share.  Why you thinking of selling?

They vary alot depending on age and condition. For something decent probably 3K to 4K. Which is about 3 or 4 weeks wages for the average joe.

Ok. That's interesting.  I'm actually in the market for something a bit faster, to be completely honest.... But Don't get me wrong,  I absolutely love my gs5. And it will hurt me, to see it go. But it's time i get something a bit more powerful.

I'm totally hearing you.
The only way to get a GS to go quicker is to strip all the crap off it, and I mean all of it. These little machines carry way too much unnecessary (for me) weight.
Then you have to tune it up the arse only to have the engine give up at 110mph, but it will get there alot quicker.
At the end of the day it's all about how fast you want to go, and how quickly you want to get there.

Yup. Ive been riding for about 9 years now. I am ready for more power.  I've already drivin way faster bikes, even some that can be very intimidating. But I don't want a liter bike, a used 600 supersport will do. My budget is pretty low, so I'll have to do a lot of searching to find something cheap.  I'm pretty handy and mechanically inclined, so I can get by with a bike that needs a little bit of work.  When I first got my gs5, it was a total mess, and running like doo doo

JT-2012

Haha. That's funny. But yeah seriously, my poor gs5 had seen better days. But I showed her some much needed love and she excepted me with open arms. Haha. We have an understanding, me and my gs.
