I've never posted on a forum before, so if I'm doing something wrong sorry in advance. I have a 93 gs500e I'm trying to bring back from the dead. The first place I started (as was recommended to me) was the fuel system and carbs, and it wasn't pretty. Now, the problem that I'm having is I cannot find any replacement parts for the carbs other than some repair kits on eBay. I need the long spring that goes into diaphragm. Do you guys know where I could order parts from, where I should look, anything at all? Any advice would be really appreciated.

I can't give too much advice because thankfully my carbs have been good to me and I haven't had to mess with them or buy parts for them.

If I was in your situation, however, I'd probably check out my go-to site for parts, which is motosport. Here is a link to the diagram and parts list of the carbs after entering in 1993 GS500E:

Looks like Ron Ayers has everything for your bike. The spring is about $5.

Hey thanks for the quick responses! I went and ordered from Motorsport, figured I'd roll the dice and if it doesn't work out then I'll try Ron Ayers. So say I wanted to get crazy and update (not upgrade per we) my carb in hopes of it being easier to find parts, how would I go about looking for a newer one? What are the requirements and things to keep in mind?

Bike Bandit is usually a good source for OEM stuff as well, they're who I went through when I did a top-end rebuild a few years ago.

Mikuni uses a lot of the same parts carb to carb, you should be able to find plenty of replacement bits if you're looking in the right places.  Plus there's always donor carbs.  Suzuki made these bikes by the thousands, there's always a dead bike somewhere being parted out...
You can directly bolt on any carb from an 89-2000 GS, and with some fiddling and additional parts you can update to the 2001+ carbs.  But unless you need to I wouldn't fix what isn't broken.
