This was a snap. My helmet.

Presuming this passes muster, in honor of me writing this from the comfort of my own home pub, I'll say a selfie of you & your bike (or part of it) in front of a pub. English, Irish, Scottish, doesn't matter. But has to be a pub, not just a random bar, not a saloon, not a tavern, not a "brewpub" (hipster food joint with their own brand of beer) or a "gastropub" or that kind of thing... but a good old fashioned regular British or Irish pub.

I can't see the picture. Are you sure it is accessible to the public?

Maybe it is just me. Hopefully someone else will chime in and say something.

Google Photos. Gotta love it. Hopefully I fixed the link, look again?

Sedici Strada!   :thumb:

Yep!

I know everyone likes to rag on Cycle Gear and especially look down on their house brand stuff but I really like this helmet, also have Sedici gloves (which I like a lot) and I really, really like my Bilt "Cafe" jacket.

The Strada is an ECE rated kevlar full face helmet with decent airflow, lightweight, comfortable, etc. at 1/3-1/2 the price of an equivalent helmet from another vendor. What's not to like? My wife insisted on the hi-viz color along with top of the line safety features, and I tried on all the helmets that qualified. The Sedici fit the best and was the most comfortable. The price was a bonus.

The only problem I've had with cyclegear's house brand stuff is the Sedici Ultimo gloves I have. I have the Small size, and the thumbs are still too long. Oddly, the Bilt gloves I had previously did not have that problem. I had the medium size of those, and they fit perfectly. :dunno_black:

And I LOVE my Bilt Max Speed jacket. I put a proper spine protector in it and it's been awesome so far.

Thanks for the picture. Unfortunately, there is not a real pub anywhere close to east Tennessee. I do not know how Cycle Gear got into this discussion, but I am not a brand-name snob. I like the mesh jacket, helmet, summer gloves, etc. that I have bought at Cycle Gear. In fact, I just ordered a pair of boots yesterday.

Watcher ID'd my Sedici Strada helmet in the pic. I think he works there. I brought up Cycle Gear.

BTW I did have some Bilt gloves that not only didn't fit correctly but also started falling apart. CG took them back and credited me towards the Sedici gloves I have now. So their customer service is good too :)

I ordered Pole Position boots yesterday, and they arrived today--with no special postage. The boots are a little tight, but I have been assured by others that they will stretch into shape. I have engineer boots for the cool weather, but the Pole Position boots are light and ventilated. BTW, has anyone on the forum ever worn lace-up shoes or boots and have the string catch on the shift lever or brake lever? People will laugh when you topple over at a stop light. Also, I have a Bilt helmet that is the same color yellow--I use a very dark face shield, good contrast and nice in the bright sun.

Yes to lace boots, no to string catching.
But then I use non-traditional lacing methods to take up slack and finish with a double-knot so it won't come undone.

If you'd like to learn some alternative lacing patterns, check this website out:

I don't even own a GS anymore, I'm 3 bikes removed, it's long since gone beyond the "gs500 picture game" and become the "motorcycle picture game".
I say get the pic.
