i think the best tactic if you really need to send a message to SUV  owners would be to put a bumper sticker on your helmet say what ever you want... suv's are destroying the planet, whatever...

attaching anything to someone else's vehicle, irregardless of how much damage it does... is only going to piss someone off. and if you are seen doing it not only are you endangering yourself, but possibly another biker (a few months ago there was a post about a suv that was deliberately running bikers off the road...hmmmmm...)

as far as passing a law to limit someones ability to buy or operate an suv... that's scary...   lord knows the next most detested vehicle on the road are sportbikes(not by me, but the general voting population is old conservative people... think about that) if SUV's get outlawed... where does it stop... sportbikes? sportscars? turbo? skateboards?

In this day and age of everyone imposing their beliefs and morals upon everyone else in the name of 'the good of the public' (example the recent developments with the FCC) I think its best to send your message without endangering the lives and liberties of not only yourself, but perhaps an entire genre of people...

then again... that's just my opinion, wouldn't want to force it down your throat..

I agree with JohnNS. And if you're going to put bumper stickers on people's cars, at least admit that it's because you're a jerk, not because you actually think it will do some good.

I like big suv's....the fuel hogging pavement pounders dont bother me that much..i hate the careless drivers that call motorcycles dangerous....i am much safer on my bike paying full attention to the rode than the mom in the cage looking for her sun glasses.

Uh, last I checked, in this country if someone can make a monstrosity of a vehicle that gets 4 mpg, and someone else is willing to buy it, more power to them.  We all need to lighten up a little bit, everyone has all these pet peeves on nonsense that really doesn't effect them.

hold up your believes, i will stand behind your rights on this,   Place a unwanted bumpersticker on property that doesnt belong to you, you deserve a pomeling. reguarless of the noble motive behind it, its still vandalism, just like the insta foam in the wheels and up the tailpipe of the SUV's in that dealer ship in the news awhile back. yea its removeable but at what cost?  its NOT your place to damage or disable someone else's property. be it paint on wall, red dye on furs, sticker on a car. its wrong!  a friend of mine went out of his way to get a water based paint that washes off after dryed. tested it with by painting and waiting a week, it rinsed right off, no rubbing needed.  he painted "hunk of junk" on another friend's car all the way around cuz it smoked (diesel), he had the stuffing beat out of him, he was arrested and spent 8 days in lockup. after court he had 1 year probation and 100 hrs comunity service painting park buildings.   because the vehicle didnt belong to him, he was charged for the crime of vandalisim.  in some states, the car is considered an extention of the home there by leagel to defend it.   this can make for Bad mix.

Hold your rallies, march for your thoughts and believes, protest all you must, but DO NOT, harm any one, do not damage/vandalize property that doesnt belong to you.

No, an Suv might not have a ligit use in your eyes in your given area. but then,  we could all walk, or Mass transit,or bicycle, or drive cheap little single cyl mopeds with no handleing or power but great milage. and 4 wheel electric cars.  frankly, ive ridden in an electric car, surprising in pickup, but milage aint that great, and wouldnt use it for long trips or towing anything bigger then a surf board.

You have a right to make a Choice in what you drive, to own it, what ever the reasons may be.   Respect the choices that others make even if they arnt the same as yours.
Accelerate like your being chased, Corner like you mean it, Brake as if you life depends on it.
Ride Hard...or go home.

Its you Vs the pavement.....who wins today?
