Hi All,

Looking for some advice, if possible!!

So, I bought a GS500F today - I've not even started her up yet as the battery is completely flat but fingers crossed it'll be fine... it's a 2004 with 23k on the clock so I'm hoping it'll have plenty of life in it yet.

So, couple of things I'm confused about, link below will take you to pictures of both if you have the time to take a look and advise it'd be greatly appreciated.

There's a couple of electrical queries that I'd liek to think may be somethign normal so your advice is appreciated:

The first is a plug on the back of the frame, below the seat... it connects directly on to the battery! All that I can think this is is a charger for the battery?! Thoughts?

The second, and most confusing, is a switch, directly connected to the front of the frame behind the headlight. the wire appears to go to the headlight but I can't be sure, does anyone have any idea what this may be?

The plug doesn't look like a standard SAE 2 pin connector used for a battery tender, but it is polarized so it could be, it also might be for heated gear? The switch behind the light probably turns off the light? Without chasing down the circuit that is my first guess. Get the bike running and throw the switch......somethings going to happen (it could be glorious) both have been added by a previous owner.
