Checked valve clearances. It's the first time I've done it since owning the bike, but they're all in spec still:

Right Exhaust: 0.06
Right Intake: 0.03
Left Intake: 0.05
Left Exhaust: 0.08

I also adjusted the rear shock preload up from "5" to "7". I've never messed with that before either, so I'm not sure whether it will be better or worse. I'm about 180 lbs without gear, so we'll see what happens. If it's not too cold in the morning I'll ride to work. The good news is that I figured out the "trick" to using the tool, so if it's worse I can easily go back and fix it.

Adjusted the chain (it was too tight) and gave the tires some air. Also ordered new inner fork tubes.
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

replaced the cluster, gained 7k miles but now have a tacho that reads the speeds below 1500 and a speedo hasn't lost the numbers around 70.

also hasn't got a massive crack across the RHS pod with a sticker holding it together.

Finally got around to rejetting for stock muffler and air filter. 20 pilot and 132.5 main up from 17.5 and 130, mid 60 stock. Plus move the needle clip on notch down. Immediate improvement, but yet to take it out for a solid fang.

Oil, valves, intakes have remained at 06mm for the past 3 years. Right exhaust was a bit of a worry as it went up from 05 to 09 over three years but had remained constant the past 6 months. Left exhaust went up from 05 to 08  but it's back to 06, maybe a few tanks of carb and valve cleaner helped?

Inspected the front brakes but they refuse to wear out so had to put the ferodos back in the cupboard. They've gone 31k miles yet don't look close to wearing out yet!

My speedo cable kept coming unscrewed from the back of my gauge cluster, so I bought some thread wrap tape, wrapped the threads and tightened it back down. Seems much more secure now, hopefully it stays that way.

tobyd

changed the clutch cable. now have the adjustment all the way in at the lever and only a bit out at the casing with a USB A plugs ( height measured about 4mm ) play at the lever - Compared to nearly all the way out on both. Adjusted free play at the case for 3/8th of a turn out after resistance. Clutch feels quite a bit lighter now which I thought odd.

Also swapped main jets back to 115s from 125s and gave adjusting the floats a go. LHS might be slightly high, was slightly high before so might not be sealing.

Finally got around to removing the front glass from my speedo and tacho (which is a pain in the ass job) so I could clean all the dried water/gunk from the inside of the glass. My dash now looks showroom fresh, and I can actually read the speedo when light is shining from directly above.
Also replaced the oil/neutral/high beam indicator bulbs with el cheapo ebay LED T5 replacements. So far so good, and a lot brighter than the old standard bulbs.

Hit the car-wash on the way home, chain clean/lube, checked alignment/slack (still good), torqued the rear axle (with an actual torque wrench), and tried out a new cleaning product.
S100 Detail + Wax.  Sprayed it on, wiped it with a cotton washcloth, then buffed it with a microfiber.

Sun's going down, so it doesn't look nearly as good as it does in person.  But by comparison here's a picture of my bike "dirty" in similar lighting conditions.

It definitely appears to be a brighter yellow after the S100 application.  I'm sold.  It's not too expensive, and with the amount of dust out here in the desert I'm sure it'll be easier to keep clean with the wax-coat.

Not today, but yesterday:

added lava header wrap, got within about 10" of the muffler. note to self, next time order slightly more than 1"x50ft.

Repainted engine cases both sides with matte black ceramic paint

Appearance package 2.0 of my bike is done.

New tyres (BT-45's front and back).

Cleaned and lubed chain.

High idle (~3.5k) solved by messing around with the pilot screw (the mixture screws are seized ffs).

Replaced all float bowl and top cover JIS screws with socket caps (apart from one top cover screw that stripped and won't budge, even using my screw extracting pliers).

Stripped a headlight cover screw that was rusted in place (looks like I'm not changing that bulb).

And the bike passed its MOT with no issues, so is road legal for another year, woo.

IDK bro.  Even when I right click and select "view image" it still just shows me a broken file.

Also, trading a HD for a Grom seems like a hilarious step down.  Can't say I'm opposed, however, I had a blast last time I rode a Z125.

Still want my Razkull.

I really don't know what I can do about this. The picture looks good here, some people can see it, etc. It's in a Google shared album so it should show. My guess is something else is preventing you from viewing it that's not strictly related to the image URL or the site here but more some kind of content filtering on your device or network.

Just a guess. IDK. Sorry about that. The images on this site are a complete PITA and not worth it to me to figure out a cleaner way of doing it.
