...and hopefully someone helps out! Tire pressure! Is it written on the tire the way it is for auto tires? I didn't seem to see it anywhere. What pressure do you guys ride at?

Depends on a lot of factors like rider weight and tire choice but I run 38 rear and 36 front

Tire pressure info (solo riding and 2-up riding) should be written on a sticker on the swing-arm and also in the Owner's Manual.

When I bought my GS, I bought an Owner's Manual on eBay for dirt cheap. I've also heard that they are downloadable. I read it through and it taught me a lot about my bike. I recommend it to anyone who is just starting out in the motorcycle world.

Edit: Ran outside to look at the swing-arm sticker and it says...

Solo Riding
Front: 33
Rear: 36

2up Riding
Front: 33
Rear: 41
Superbike bars, '04 GSXR headlight & cowl, DRZ signals, 1/2" fork brace, 'Busa fender, stainless exhaust & brake lines, belly pan, LED dash & brake bulbs, 140/80 rear hoop, F tail lens, SV650 shock, Bandit400 hugger, aluminum heel guards & pegs, fork preload adjusters, .75 SonicSprings, heated grips

Michelin has a handy tire pressure finder on their website.

The sidewall lists the maximum safe operating pressure of the tire, it's better to go by what the bike specifies, give or take a little for load/performance/etc.

My Monster calls for 32/36.  I run 34/38 as I am a little heavier than most riders and ride pretty hard.  Feels great!  I'm getting really good wear patterns, as well.

What you find written on a tyre (bike or car) is maximum pressure.  You do not want to be filling to this pressure.

You want whatever is specified by the manufacturer for the specific vehicle.
On motorcycles this information is often printed on a sticker on the swing-arm.  Failing that there's the owners manual.
