Hi guys. I rebuilt the top end of my project gs500 and timed the chain and all is well but the cam chain tensioner seems to hold the chain very tight and I am frightened to tighten the bolts holding the tensioner fully in as I think it will break something. When I have the tensioner out there is no movement at all on the plunger of the tensioner. Is this correct. I don't see anyway of adjusting the tension. Thanks

Have you spoken to Manuel recently? He knows the answer.

Thanks. I tried to remove the small rubber cap from the end of the tensioner but it split and was unsure if this even came out as it's rather small. There are 2 very small screws on either side of the rubber cap. I didn't remove the cams or guides so I hope I have put the fron guide in the correct way as it looks like the chain has been running on a certain part so put it in that way. Thanks for all the help.
