Hopefully the pic works. Super low k's on this bike. I have ridden it not even 200k's yet so ... not even 100 miles I guess that translates to.
Glad I got the clock working. Apart from that and the rack it's all orig.
Now these security questions.. What is makes the spark that ignites the fuel... I've tried; spark plug, sparkplug, spark plugs; hmm... maybe I should try "sparkplugs"... also tried electricity, coil, even "sparking plug"
COOOOOOL
Even listening to the letters for the verification is hard to understand.. glad they're only temporary >_<
What does the fuel line and airbox connect to? Not.. carburettors??? ok. Ah maybe it has just one..or one "t" American spelling.

That clock looks pretty cool! Does it light up so you can see it at night? I work night shift and it'd be neat to find a clock I could see when it's dark out.

Hi SBW,

No unfortunately:  it doesn't light up at night. I would like one that does though.  I haven't actually ridden the bike at night yet. Today was only the 3rd day I've had it. It might be visible but not sure- will get back to  you on that. It's held on with velcro- It wont fall off but wobbles around alot which I think I'll remedy with some double sided tape. Just freaks me out cos if it did fall off into wheel while riding.. wouldnt be nice. But yeah, I'm a time kinda person so it's good having it there without having to check my watch under my gloves and all that jazz.

Looking forward to a night ride soon. The clock came with the bike. It also came with a 57 litre (15 gallon) expandable bag and rack. Ventura brand which is fairly rad.. was thinking about a GIVI lock up set up with brake lights wired in etc.. but with the bag Its fairly transportable so could load shopping in, helmet, gloves and jacket, even camping gear if it comes to that. Bought it as a tourer and can see the GS really is such a good tourer already. Love the bike. It is so awesome. I love it better than the VTR250 I had and that was cool as hell.. but not such a tourer.

Could wire a clock in to illuminate with the rest of the instruments easily enough but I just love her how she is at the moment, haha

Yeah can't see the clock at all at night. bit of a bummer.. I might have to get a Clock for Bikes.

Clocks for bikes don't really have anything which is just backlit they do have one push button one though but I don't want to push a button >_<. So I'm looking at a 12v option

Yeah thanks TQM something like that could work. I'll post a pic when I find a good solution. It's just that I like to ride at night and like to know the time, sometimes I got to be somewhere at a certain time, and it is a real pain checking my wrist watch on the bike, I prefer not to even wear it actually on the bike.
Other things I plan on doing to the bike or have done is; Chain maintenance- oiled the chain twice over 600k, cleaned the bike with water spray and cloth. Cleaned the rear disk with WD40 to remove squeak. Put petrol in- I found I get about 260km per tank not including reserve. And I have some windscreen bolts coming because one of the bolts is snapped in the hole, so I'll extract that and put in the new set. I've also started riding with ear plugs cos the wind at high speed has been making my ears ring after a big ride. Future mods include- maybe removing the safety stickers. And I am tempted to try another windscreen (mainly cos they look cool). Also need to get a manual, and check the gearbox oil. At 6000 I will service it. Also wanted to tighten rear preload but can't get to the adjustment.

A manual is a super good idea. It was one of the first things I bought when I got my bike.

If you don't have the actual tool to adjust the rear shock's preload, you can use a long-ish straight screwdriver and a hammer to kinda knock the collar in the direction you want it to go.

Today I was able to extract the broken windscreen screw that came with the bike. Just carefully drilled it out, then replaced it with a decent one. It was the very bottom one at the front There was still a bit of a rattle between the plastic panel above the headlamp and the windscreen when fitted so I use some rubbery double sided tape to remove that vibration as well.
