Was just cleaning around my front sprocket when I noticed the clutch pushrod seems like it could be freely removed. Is this by design? I've been under the cover many times before but never noticed this. I thought it went into the crankcase.

Yeah, it's basically just a transfer rod, it's not actually connected to anything.
