Ok so after few months resting i decided to attempt to start up my bike. Since i wait for the starter clutch and rotor parts to arrive  i can't start the bike by button and had to push start the bike. However i had the battery on charger at home, installed it give the key a spin to the right and nothing. Not even the dashboard lights come on. I disconnected the battery, took my multi-meter and started testing for continuity, battery clamp positive to starter relay ok, ignition switch okay, headlight connector works with the ignition. Everything seems fine. Connected the battery again and tested for volts this time. No current anywhere. I've took out the starter relay and cleaned contacts, check for corrosion in the fuse, connectors etc. Put everything together and dashboard light comes on. So i thought problem fixed. lets give the bike a push and start it. Fuel petcock in prime, ignition on, red starter switch on, choke on, second gear, clutch in going downhill, I let the clutch off and the dashboard lights flicker as the the engine spins. Coming to stop the lights are off, going off the downhill again they start to flicker with the clutch off. I have no idea why this problem occurred. The bike had not any problems it used to push start on first attempt before the winter.

Kinda sounds like there isn't enough juice to allow the coils to saturate?

My vote is a New Battery and Fresh Fuel  :thumb:

MC batteries because of their size can last as little as 3 years or less  :whisper:

Changed the battery, drained the old fuel, tanked with fresh one and the bike still wont start.
here are two videos
On the first one i'm switching the blinker buttons and the oil and neutral indicator lights blink opposite of the blinker indicator.
The second one i try to push start the bike and the oil indicator goes off when i let the clutch off and then goes back on again.

I'm assuming there's a short somewhere but not sure where to look for and if this's causing the bike not to start as it was running just fine before the winter. There's the wiring diagram too, if that helps

Check your clutch safety switch? Or disconnect it entirely?

If your turn signals are opposite then you have power and ground reversed somewhere. This would definitely qualify as a "short".

Since the current situation with the caranitne I've been working on the bike. Found out that the side-stand switch is not testing positive for conductivity while its closed so I thought that's the problem. Made a bypass wire and shorter it, gived it a push start and the same situation again..the dash lights goes off when I let the clutch out and no explosion from the engine cylinders whatsoever, not even a sign that its trying to start. I've checked the carburetor bowls for fuel, checked the ignition coil cables and the spark-plugs. Everything's in place like its supposed to. Since in this situation I still don't have the generator magneto in place, so I can put the charging parts aside as a possible problem, same as the rectifier and the starter motor. Is it possible to test the CDI box? For example to simulate a running engine and measure the outputs of the CDI that goes to the ignition coils ? Just to make sure its sending signals as it supposed to. I've been beating my head around this for weeks and can't seem to find whats the problem. I miss riding my bike so bad :(
