Has anyone had issues with the All balls racing brand fork seal kits? I just took my bike for its first ride since changing them and they both have some pooling at the rear.

3 things.......

1) Are you sure its not just oil being scraped off the tube.
2) Is the chrome in excellent condition......and
3) Have fitted them correctly

The key to getting it sealed is to have those inner bushings coated with a moly teflon coating that takes up oil and is super super slippery. Not cheap, like $20 for 1 set, and they wanted to do 4-10 sets at a minimum cos they needed to change out their little spray gun and then its cooked in the oven like powdercoating.

I had a few done by this place but they were for all the katana swaps cos really the GS parts are such crap its not worth even replacing seals on the thing.

In case someone was really wanting to get their rust free, pit fee pristine GS fork that didn't spec out more than a few 1000'th under the original (all of which are huge questions) you can get by OK with replacing those parts with new stock suzuki bushings.

The biggest difference between the suzuki ones and the ones I had made was that the ones I made were coated with a different version that was thicker and had a more grainy finish than stock suzuki and hence took more oil both from chemical adhesion and  from mechanically cupping it and holding it.

The seal is just a rod wiper seal. If the bushing lets it past, the seal aint gonna hold it for very long.

Cool.
