Someone just showed me how easy it is to make your own brake hoses.

Obviously takes a bit of mechanical confidence and your own risk assessment, but i'll never buy brake hoses again. It's not necessarily cheaper the first time but every 5 years you reuse all the bits except the olives and make new ones for free (well a couple of bucks for the hose and the olives).

The last 2 words say "PRESSURE TEST"

Have you got the kit and knowledge to test your home brewed line at around 1000psi/70 Bar?.......or are you just going to take the chance?

Pressure test - well, once you torque it etc etc, I cant imagine it leaking. AAAAAANNNNNDDDD
Do companies like galfer etc that make swaged lines pressure test them ? All of them - like the ones they sell for $30 Or Just the ones on Valentino Rossi's bike

BTW I like the bolted together fittings precisely because if they fail in the field - You can replace it piece by piece till you find the failed part. Usually its the nut that's holding the torque wrench that forgot something - like a ferrule for example.

Galfer are an ISO9001 company.......they dont need to.
