Hey guys, I'm re-jigging my GS as a cafe racer and it's coming along fine - with the exception of I now have electrical issues...
I've power to all blinkers, though they now wont flash - they did before the project started and they did when my mate helped me couple weeks ago - albeit ass-about-face..  That being said when power is confirmed at each blinker, the headlight comes on - not the blinker light itself...???
Gets better (worse...??), it wont start - wont even click, the horn wont work, nor will the brake light - however the rear brake light worked couple weeks ago...  All these things worked before I started ...
I've buggered around with these matters for hours - I'm no mechanic but I'm determined and wont let it beat me, I'm 57 and would like to think I'm reasonably intelligent... So hit me with some ideas please fellas, I'll be most grateful.. Regards, FJ 1200, Australia...

I can't give you a how-to, but what I'd do is get hold of the wiring diagram for your model and with a multimeter set to beep on continuity, check every system one by one. I'd start with the the easy ones, like the brake light for instance. Once that works, do the next circuit, etc. etc.

Good luck.

PS. Age shouldn't be a factor. I'm 10 years your senior and managed to do all the mods to the wiring myself when I built my GS500 Street Tracker.

And one last bit of advice. Don't let your mate "help" you again.  :thumb:

Thanks SK Racing, appreciate the advice, I was guessing that was my next step - have located the wiring diagram now, so will be on my way..
My mate's fine and he's been of assistance throughout the project..
Cheers
