Hello again everyone.

I want to share with you another problem, maybe some can tell me what is the solution.

THe thing is, my GS500 rides really well, but one of the problems appears when you accelerate with the motorcycle already moving. Cant explain it correctly in my own language, even less in English so sorry if it doesnt make any sense :hithead:

When i accelerate, the bike kick a lot, like if the chain was loose or something, but i checked a lot of times and the tension is in spec :o I replaced the old sprocket with a new one btw.

Could be that the old rear shock bounces when i open the throttle? Im waiting for a R6r shock to replace the old one, i already have progressive springs in the front.

I do not like that behaviour, even less when im tatking a curve.

Again, sorry if i didnt explained correctly, make any questions so i can elaborate further.

kick in engine response could be the carb needle raising abruptly, it happened to me.
the plastic clip inside the plastic black slide was loose and the needle was hanging.
i had to rev abruptly and it will fall into place.

if it is suspension related , try messing with it, with more preload for example and check the impact of your changes.

check the chain for tight spots.
if you changed the sprocket its best to change the chain and the remaining sprocket. that way it will last longer.
if you see life left yet in the other sprocket and the chain a bit of compromise on the life of the  new sprocket is acceptable.

I had a jerky behaviour when going on or off throttle, also a problem when feeding in power after a corner.
Turns out I had an intake leak and new orings in the intake boot stopped this.
