Hi all, having abit of trouble with indicator wiring on a 2005 gs500. bike had after market gauges on it & i'm putting the origonals back on, problem is there are 2 turn signal positive wires going up to gauges but only one positive at dash. Now i spliced that wire with 2 connectors for each turn signal but now the indicators both come on like hazard lights. Any help would be great as i'm not that good with electrics thanks

Led or bulb?
Check the Electrical diagram. It's meant to use with bulbs because the bulb is lit from both sides so a diode in reverse will not work.

Search for the diode mod

its bulb, the previouis owner who put the after market gauges on chopped out all the factory connectors & used bullet connectors instead. i just need the indicator light on the dash to work for road worthy cert.

identify each wire color.
look up on the diagram where it is supposed to connect.
Anyway, with a bulb you cant fry anything, connect it in all the positions till it works.

thanks, i've tried that but still getting both indicators lighting up like hazard lights

Looking at the wiring diagram, one potential reason why both side indicators would light up is if the turn signal warning light bulb in the panel was shorted. Is it certainly ok? Do blinkers start to work properly with the warning light in the panel removed?

Probably a simple fix but difficult to guide over the forum.

If you're a local you are welcome to pull it up to mine to compare the wiring.

the blinking circuit is simple enough, isolate it in the diagram and test with a multimeter.
You have the positive flasher output, diverted to each side by the switch and finally the bulbs(indicator+blinkers) closing the circuit going to ground.

sorted it thanks all
