OK I took my carbs off and cleaned them.... didn't even open the carbs, just dropped it in a container of gas and sloshed it around.... it was fairly clean... and cleaned air filters with simple green, dried and re installed it... also checked valves... and they all were in spec, changed oil and filter. After all this went back together... the bike runs weird on the choke... it stays at 2K for a good minute+, the soars to 5K for a second or so, and drops back to 2K.... and it contiunes this as long as choke is on... Take it off choke and it idles at 1500 great. So What happened... yea yea I know I am carb guru.... but dammit what is happening.

The motorcycle is no longer the hobby, the skill has become the hobby.

Power does not compare to skill.  What good is power without the skill to use it?

good judgement trumps good skills every time.

U fuked up.

I bet you have liquid gas trapped in the choke/starter air circuit passage that isn't allowing it to draw mixture into the main bore.

Take them off again, open them up and blow them out with compressed air.

OK how about I let the 100 degree day take care of it... or let the bike run and the 200 degree engine bay take care of it... cos I aint going in there for a few months atleast... OK....
