Has anyone trired a Kat 89 swingarm swap on a gs ??

It's driving me nuts. I have brand new tires on my wrecked Kat and want to use them on the gs. Not that I can do anything to change them until I'm healed but 2 new MEZ2 tires begging to be used.

It has been mentioned on the board that early Kat used the same wheel sizes as the GS - if nothing else just put the tires on the GS rims

The rear is a 160/70/17  I just don't see it fitting.   It will be anothr 4-6 weeks before I can try. Collarbone and broken index finger.

what size is the 89 kat rim.... it should be a 3.5 x 17
or it has been swapped already

then you should be able to swap the rim into the GS

stock rim but swingarm is bigger / wider looking. I will try soon.
