  Nice job! Nowmass poduce them and sell them to us!  :thumb:
People take these things too seriously!

Mmmmmmm...doughnuts.

Very sharp indeed, but I see other possibilities. Now here's a bone for you.

Multi-button interface that you can easily get to with left thumb. As many buttons as messages, or two scroll buttons with a select button. Have a LED panel (much like what you have) that spells out messages to the folks that you pass.

I was riding through Princeton today and desperately wanted to display a message to a Squid on a very sharp black/grey/yellow 750 GSXR.

"Boots save toes" "Is that your racing number on your leathers" "Cops love wheelies on public roads", and so forth.

To be serious, I think you did a great job.

That looks friggin AWESOME! Can't wait to get mine on. Once that happens they ARE going to be mass produced...any takers?

You've done a great job with those JeffD.  ;)

So far it is just a direct replacement for the bulbs.  Remove old bulbs, wire it up (3 wires) and then mount it in place with 2 screws and replace the lens. :)  I am going to start a signup list.  I need at least 25 people to sign up before I can start to mass produce these things. (just sign up not pay yet)  and unless I can find cheaper parts/boards then I am looking at $40 to your front door, (shipping Included).  And build time would have to be a month (because of getting the boards fabricated)  :thumb:

Will that fit the >2001 models too?

JohNLA

If Pablo gets one I have to get one
Seriously, I do want one for the newer model as well.
It does look great and it sounds simple to install which I like a lot :thumb: .

Yes I am sending one to Pablo for fitting on the newer models.   (shoulden't be a problem though)

Well so far I count 5 people.   :thumb:

Looks Great, Jeff.

Question - Have you calculated wattage vs tungsten bulbs?
And are the LED's you used white or red? (the reason I'm asking is because they look quuite bright, and you are still using a red taillight lens, it looks like.
I'm in if you can ship to Canada, anyway , we'll work something out.

I have 5 parallel circuits max running at ~ 20mA
and I am using 14v for my calculations (because thats the average charging voltage )

so total draw is 100mA at 14 volts is  a whopping 1.4 watts.  :thumb:
and I believe the standard bulbs run at like 20watts each.

Oh and Yes they are red, (and I have two clear for the license plate)

and I figured shipping to be $3 in the US so I'm sure I could get one out to ya for less than $45 (If i can get enough people to sign up)

Put me down for a 2001 model please.  This looks very cool.  Hell, the the LED's that fit in the 1157 sockets are almost $30 each around here.  Something like this is much better than those.

Add another one to the list.  Those are off the chizzle for shizzle my nizzle.  You engineers come up with the damnest thing.

Got a question

Ok... i see 2 circles.... do they dim down when you are not using the brakes?

You said there's 3 wires... one is 14V One is Ground... How much is the 3rd wire?

Thanks
1999 GS500e

glenn9171

I assume one is ground, one hot for running lights, one hot for brake lights?  Should be same as stock, though I haven't looked to be sure.

JeffD

Glenn is right.  I have a resistor bank that gets shorted out to lower the resistance and Increase the current which makes them brighter.  so they are

+14 All the time
+14 When brake is depressed
0     common.
