Hey guys. I really want to remove or shorten my big fender on my 04 GS but I don't want to have to place the blinkers somewhere else. Is the best bet to cut the fender as high as the blinkers or is there something aftermarket I can get to keep the blinkers where they are but not have that fender that dips down behind the rear tire. Thanks. Pics are appreciated too. Right now I'm leaning towards just cutting it as high as the blinkers.

This is what it would look like if I cut it.

this is what it looks like now.

Any ideas are welcome. I'm just not sure what i would use to cut it to get a clean straight cut.

When you cut it, just keep the cut below the signals and leave a little "meat" between the signal and the edge.  That's what I did and worked great.  Didn't have to move the signals at all.  I used a dremel to cut it and then sanded it smooth.  Can't even tell it's cut.  I can get some pics if you want.

Take some time to prep! I used masking tape and a pencil to mark off where I was going to cut. Make sure to measure the distance under the big plastic piece and you can freehand the curve on the front under the signals... I cut the fender just above the bottom of the plate then I drilled a couple holes to reinstall the reflector... It looks like the bike was made with a shorty fender...
