Hey all,

Sorry to spam the boards with lots of questions, but in my talks with a locksmith, they said they can grind a key wth a code.

WOuld this be the code that is on the front of the ignition cylinder?

If not, where can this code be found?   Do I have to remvoe the ignition cylinder to get to the code?

Thanks

Well most suzuki codes came on a little tab with the original keys... I don't think they put any codes on the lock cylinders anymore.... Honda does/did ( was the last two numbers in reverse...if I recall correctly..or maybe that's Kawasaki....But Honda and Kawa put codes on theirs..and on some model bikes you can read them with a dental mirror..So can the thieves..)...

At any rate...you're probably out of luck...

Are you replacing the whole lockset???

NO, right now as I type this some locksmith is prolly fiddling with my helmet lock and trying to make a key to fit the tumblers.

Prolly gonna cost me $100, and I know I'll find my spare key that I spent the past month looking for the day after he cashes my check.
