SUZUKI decal... suggestions?

I just got the decal that I ordered for the side of my engine.  It's that circle that says "Suzuki" (it's on both sides of the engine).  I got it to cover up some of my engine's road rash after I... er... someone else dropped it... yeah that's it... someone else   .

Has anyone replaced theirs before? Any suggestions on how to put it on properly or take the old one off?

I can't remember which side is scraped up on ypur bike.  The left side cover is solid, but I believe the right one has a hole on the inside, through which you can push on the sticker.

If you have a small enough socket and wrench, give it a shot!

maybe you can do that on the right side, but on the left, there is no hole...
when I bought my 2000, the left side one was gone, so I ordered a new one and stuck it on... It's a fairly tough little piece, I just peeled off the backing and stuck it right on there... been there for 2 months now, no sign of falling off or anything. If you have existing decal left on the bike now, It's made of a tin backed material, so a small thinbladed srewdriver should pry it right out of there

Wow, did that ever do the trick.  My bike looks 100% better, almost no sign of damage.

Thanks for the tips guys.  8)

I don't really know how to post pics and I don't have any webspace to upload them to.  :dunno:

If you don't have access to an account that allows you to link to pics offsite, sign up for a Roadfly email account; it gives you 3 megs of free webspace with no restrictions that I've been able to find (i.e. you can post pics directly on other sites).  Tutorial.

Actually, I just found out from a friend that I get some webspace through my ISP, Telus.  But thanks for the suggestions.

I'll try and post pics soon.

Here are the pics (I hope).  This is the first time I've ever posted a picture and we'll see if it works.  I also took these pictures in a hurry with a really crappy digital camera so they're pretty bad to start with anyway.

So as you can see, the only scratches left are underneath the Suzuki circle and aren't too noticable.  I would have replaced that scratched piece too but I don't want to spend an extra $70 (plus I'd be pretty upset if i dropped it again   )

95% of these bikes have scratches there too, and like you said, it's barely noticable :thumb:
