After getting a set of keys made of my GS, I've realized I have no choice to part with it, or risk losing my home, and having to send our two wonderful dogs to a shelter.

pulled the GS off fleabay with 30 hours remaining on a 7 day auction.

My starting bid was $1,000.00 and there were *NO* bids, and 40 people watching the item.

I was not about to let someone wait until the last 5 minues and snag it for a grand.  I might need money,  but hell, I can put in for OT at work and make a grand extra in a month's time.

is $2,000 too much to ask for a 1996 GS with 2,500 miles, a rejet, K&N and VH exhaust?  I mean hell, the blue book is $1950 with average mileage.

My thoughts were the mods balance out the fact that the bike needs about $150 worth of beauty work, but runs and rides perfectly fine.

Dude, with 40 ppl watching you probably would have gotten a flurry of bids and had a bunch of sniper programs fighting it out.  I've had auctions where it coasted along at $.99 for a week and then shot up to over $100 in the LAST MINUTE! Its just the nature of Ebay.

If you need to get a specific price set a reserve. Then you can decide if you want to take it.

Sorry but "performance mods" usually add $0 to a resale value. Donno why, but...

The re-listed auction has about 40 hours left.

Starting bid was $1,500 and it's up to $1,600 now.

We'll see how it goes.  Hoping to not get bent without lube on this sale.
