Hello All,
I Originaly installed my Prog Springs The Lazy way. But was wondering what the PVC Cap size that everyone was using. I cut my stock spacers but would rather not do that when i get my New forks.

edit: my first post was wrong.  use 1/2" schedule 40 cap.  it's about an inch long or so, works well for me with 15wt oil.

go to home depot.  Buy a schedule 40 pvc pipe.  use a dremel to cut it anywhere between .75" to 1".  will cost you about 40cents a piece

or you can just cut pipe, but i found end caps to be much easier.  to each their own.

Schedule 40 PVC end-caps for 1/2" pipe.  They're somewhere in between 3/4"  - 1" long, which is perfect for the progressives.

What no one tells you is that the schedule 40 1/2" end caps are in TOTAL length about 1 1/4" So it's a little long, unless you turn the rounded "cap" end into the the spring washer. Which makes the cap sit lower. Thus, you get a 1" spacer. Worked good and was 18 cents/piece. Would do it again unless you want less preload/softer front suspension. I couldn't believe how different the bike felt after i installed the springs!

Am I the only one who still feels the front end is a bit squishy after progressive springs? I made 3/4" spacers out of metal tubing. (like those machined ones on ebay ahwile back) I still feel unstable in, through, and out of tight turns. They squeek like a mother too.

15 wt oil.

never heard mine squeak, and yeah, 15wt oil in mine too, no probs.  if you didn't switch that out, give it a try.  also, give yourself 1" spacers, or get those caps, might help a bit of the preload.
