No need to buy a smoked screen, just paint the inside of the screen, just painted mine black and looks great. Will get a picture posted later today or in the moring.

I'd think window tint would work great...and be much less permanent.

I tried tint and it didn't work too well. I figured that I don't really look thru the clear shield even when I'm tucked, so I just painted it. When I go out at my 2:00 break, now noon, I'll get a picture for posting.

is it illegal to have it painted or tint? im thinking about tinting with those crome look

My baby G was born with no screen...but I do love her...even though she has a face only a mother could love ...and I love this crazy forum too.

No laws that I'm aware of, not like you look thru it anyway.

I tried tinting the screen... didn't work too well... there's a compound curve and film wrinkles... I have some photo's but I took the film off... I'd rather roll stock than cheezey

in NY that painted screen won't pass inspection. Neither will the chrome ones. Only screens that are transparent will pass. Make sure you guys check on these things before altering your bikes!

I have a friend who bought a chrome screen and takes it off once a year to get her bike inspected. The chrome screen also prevents her EZ-Pass from registering so she has to stop for tolls when on the bike.  :lol:

No inspection here in Arkansas.
