on a YAMAHA YZF 600 compare to a GS. There is a nice 98 one for sell around here and I was wondering if anyone has ridden one of these and can tell me how they compare to the GS since I have only ridden and own a GS.

Also anyone know how high they sit? One thing about my GS that I love is that I can put both feet on the ground and I'm 5'8".

The seat height should be about 1 to 1 1/2 inches higher. No comparison, the YZF will flat smoke the gs.

Not as comfy, but that is to be expected with a sport bike. Also, yes, much faster. Lighter too.

Wow..the YZF is lighter than the GS. I only weigh a 135 lbs and thought the GS was a light bike. Thanks fpr your insights, I think I will have to call for a test ride and see.
