prices drop in the fall. is it true?

hey guys, i hear some people say bike prices drop slightly during fall. is it true? a friend of mine's tryin to wait till fall and i told him i'm not so sure if the prices really drop. btw, we're talkin about private sellers' prices ;)

Yes, much like boats, in the off season you can find better deals.  Christmas might factor in as well.  I bought my bike in Feb., and I had been looking for a gs for over 8 months.

hmm.... makes sense... i guess "off season" is the key word huh:) i guess ill tell everyone who ask me that if they can wait, off season is the best time to buy. thnx for the replies! u guys rock!! :cheers:

I can say firsthand fall is the *WORST* time to sell a bike.


Your best time to buy new from a dealer is Dec/Jan.  
(if you llive where it gets cold)

Right as the bike starts to fall... its value satsrt to fall as well... just 2 seconds and the value might drop 20-30-40-50.... or more percent...  :lol:
