well last time i went drag racing i didn't do so good.....it was very late at night and too many people........this morning i went again and i the track was filled with semi trucks which didn't race so i had the track to my self......well ok, there was about 10 of us racing.....

anyway, i made 32 runs.......yes 32  :o  :o  :o
i'm surprised that i got home in 1 piece lol
i got to say the gs is one tough bike......i rode it there and back (240 miles) and made 32 hard launces and redlining in every gear....

all day i ran low/mid 14's at about 91 mph

the best was
60ft-------2.086
330ft------5.843
1/8th------9.052
1/8 mph---76.37
1/4 et------14.245
1/4 mph----92.22

i noticed that my weight (205 lbs with all my gear) and the damn heavy 150/60 rear tire DIDN"T help on the acceleration  :)

i also tried shifting at different rpm......the best was 11000 in 1st gear and using the clutch to go to 2nd......then shifting clutchless at 10 000 rpm...and one more thing......when using 150 mains and 40 pilots, 2 washers under needle....i got 2 mph more at the 1/4 mile when the mix screws were at 3 1/4 turns out than 2 1/2....i use 2 1/2 turns out on the street[/u]

I just went drag racing last weekend too.  The real thing, not just a tune & test day.  Entered the Street ET class at the Pingel Thunder National AMA Prostar event.  My first real dragrace ever.  Over 100 entries.  Went 5 rounds out of 7, made it to the quarterfinals (8 bikes left).  The "last woman standing".  Rode my Triumph TT600 though, not my GS500.  That was the only Triumph entered in any class last weekend, except for a Triumph powered nitro-belching top fuel bike from Australia.  I think the guy that beat me in round 5 went on to win the class.  He was in the final round at least.  I think results can be found at www.dragbike.com (when it works.)
