Hey guys,
I know its probably been covered, but i have the hardest time finding what i want when i search here.  Im trying to replace my battery, it dies too often and im sick of taking it out and charging it all the time.  So my question is, whats my best bet on a new battery and where should i get it?  thanks

Go to Advanced Auto Parts, I bought an economy battery for under 25 bux
they also have a sealed battery in the 35 dollar range which I hear is much better

I cant think of the brand name, I'll check when I get off work tonight

I bought mine from a local bike shop, $30 CAD I think? Pretty cheap, it's been great so far.

How did you kill yours? I left mine in "park" all day at work once

Thanks for the input guys, scooby if you could let me know about the battery you got it would be appreciated, the walmart model was 50 bucks which is a little steep.

I purchased my battery for around 25bux including tax

It does not have a model nubmer on it.
Brand: AutoCraft Sport Utility Battery

I brought the old stock one in and they had its match
I wish I had the model number. I guess I should have saved the reciept

Luke, did you not like the sound (or the price) of the battery I talked about in the "good deal on a battery" thread? (See 2nd link in my previous post.)

If you have an Advanced Auto Parts store nearby, go the EvilScooby route.  Otherwise, Chaparral ships just about anywhere.

I shelled out $75 for the Yuasa battery. I work at a John Deere dealership, so I could get a deal through Interstate, but was told they do not have a cross for it. A lot of dough, but not one problem.

The Advanced Auto parts battery works great and I have had no problems with it.

But some people prefer the name brand, I myself was looking just to get my bike on the road and it worked out great

And even if you want to stick with the Yuasa brand, a suitable battery can be had for a much lower price.

Thanks for all the replies guys.  Kerry, dont think i didnt appreciate your advice, i did check out the website, but i also wanted to check out prices at walmart, and the auto store to see the price difference considering haveing to have something shipped.  Im also a fan of instant gratification and dont like to wait for things.  That being said im going to stop at advance auto parts on my way home and unless i can find the right battery for less then the 30 it would cost with shipping from the site you posted kerry, i will probably end up getting it there.  I would like to have her up and running before monday though when school starts, its so much more convinent then taking the bus.  Thanks again guys.

You sure a new battery will solve the problem? When does it die? after extended sitting periods? Then the battery is the likely culprit. If not it's more likely the regulator or generator.
