I'm a dog lover too

Anyone wanna take a guess what breed it is?

Based on its size, color, and distinctive markings above the brow I would have to say it is related to either the rat terrier (my first choice) or the toy fox terrier - smooth coat.

I currently own a TFT, but I've had rat terriers in the past. Both breeds are not well known, but they have a lot of history behind them. They are very loving & protective & they don't eat much

Terriers rule!!!!!!!!!

Ratboy

looks a lot like my jack russel terrier.   Only your's has a long tail, definitely a "no no" among JR show dogs.  None the less that dog is cute, good luck training it, they are a stubborn breed, very loyal, and very smart.  Don't be afraid to be too firm when it missbehaves, and surely love on it a bunch when it is good. :thumb:

it's pooped in the apartment like 6 times since saturday. she's pretty smart, but will come in from outside and poop right away.

Old Mr. Wilson

Now THAT is a nice lookin' hound!  :)
We just got a new pup as well. She is a chow chow (12 weeks today). We now have TWO female chows (older one is 7 years). They are really nice, well behaved dogs. They are kept outside though. Only let in when the weather is extremely bad. Do not feel guilty for "striking the dog" (a tightly rolled up newspaper is great). There may be times when you have to. Little tip: I bought a little Marksman BB pistol. It only shoots about 250 feet per second. This will sting but not break the skin and draw blood. I use this as a training aid. When the dog is in the younger, learning years and doing something "out of line", I will shoot her in the buttocks and say NO. Soon she equates 'NO' with doing what I consider "out of bounds" and of course the sting. She ceases doing it.
After a not so long period of time when she hears NO........she halts.
Clever aye? I think of this as a training tool and an extension of myself. I may not be quick enough to reach her and strike her while the forbidden activity is going on but the projectile is.  This is certainly cheaper than the shock collars. They go for well over a hundred bucks. I paid about 17 dollars (US) plus tax for the Marksman BB pistol (they are available at any Wal Mart or sporting goods store). I have used this method on dogs and our cat (in house pet) and it works great. When the cat started clawing on our leather couch, I knew I had to do something. I think this method was more humane than declawing or shock collars. It works. Hope this helps. Stay cocked locked and ready to rock!  :)  Wilson
Taxes are Good. Millions that have been on Welfare for the last 30 years are depending on you. Also Millions that are coming over the border each year are depending on YOU.
Also taxes will fix our shitty schools and roads that have been broken for 40+ years.

You really don't get it do you???

Shoot your dog with a BB gun, damn, I wish I'd thought of that. You're so smart. How do you discipline your kids, with a 9 iron?

perfdrug

only till they can walk. then you've gotta move on to a tazer. those little bastards are fast!

perfdrug

literally 30 seconds ago she peed on my bed.
gotta wash the sheets, but the real pain is the feather mattress that's soaked with dog piss.

my kitty never had any of these problems.

Hi-T

Be greatful that you have a relatively small dog- Our German Shepard puppy is only 4 months and GRANDE!!  She pees longer and drops more hud than I do...  The bigger she gets, the harder it is to remember that's she's only a puppy and will (hopefully) grow out of the behaviour.

She's also the most expensive member of the family...

What do you call a pet that misbehaves?

Dinner.

Don't do the BB gun thing.  You might hit the poor puppy in the eye and then you'd definitely feel bad!  Also, it might border on being excessively mean, and I think you would rather have a well adjusted animal.

Of course, you could always search for pages on dog training on Google ;)
