Just wanted to thank everyone who helped with my suspension questions.  I replaced the front fork springs with the Progressive springs and the rear shock with a Katana.

The improvement is night and day.  Much more responsive, more fun to ride.  I also like the slightly higher seat height.  Great $80 investment.

Thanks again, Thad

Throw on some radials and you'll feel invinsible...

Hi-T

I ran the both avons and pirelli-  I thought the Avons 46ST were great.  They are Z rated touring radials that last well, grip great and at 140/80 17 they will fit the rear rim easy.  Loved them.

THe pirelli's are fantastic too- but you won't find a radial to fit the rear.  I have them on my SV (and had them in the front on the GS) but they wear faster- they held to the road great and were perfect in rain.

You should be able to find a set for $200.  The suspension settles the bike down- but the tires will glue you to the road.  Makes for a very fast and stable ride on the twisties.

Great!  Glad you like it :thumb:

Now you see why we stress the suspension mods so much.  It absolutely transforms the bike :)

Thanks for the advice on the tires.  Do you know where to get Avons online?
