Finally tipped my bike over in the driveway when I was securing  my bungee net  
Did about an hour  search on the board. Found loads of info. I Love this place :kiss:  
From my reasearch:
- the 89-00 Brake levers (which are plentiful on Ebay) only have the 4 postion dial
- the 01+ Brake levers hav the 6 postion
- So the 89-00 levers dont fit    
Looking for a  replacement that will fit a 2001 GS500

I found this cross over parts chart for a Brake lever, that another member posted (forgot who posted it originally)

I called Flander Company www.flandersco.com but they didnt have any 2001 GS500 levers.  Can anyone confirm what lever would fit?

Bandit 400-250 are the same as gs

My 2000 has a six-position dial.

go to your local dealer... with the broken lever and match it up with one on the wall.   it dont matter if it has 4-5-6 adjustments... as long as the area where it pushes the master cylinder looks the same....it's a visual thing...if it really is close enuff...it will work

i have used old honda levers with no problem....

Just a little tip, I ebay searched for GS500 lever, and found a set of brake and clutch that'll fit right on my '00 no problem, they look totally stock and all that...20 bucks.  That's as much as my dealer wanted for just the frickin' clutch lever.  OE brake was 120.  I'll take the 20 dollar ebay levers any time...Thank you very much!


I think the ebay seller's website was clutchlever(with or without an "s") dot com.

Give it a shot, I can take a pict of the packaging/levers if you'd like to check it out!

I also saw some on there that have some carbon fiber looking stuff on them in case you don't want the stock silver color.

they look like a pretty good match to me.  I think I may go the ebay route...local the shops want  $20 for one lever! I HOPE they fit...
